The founder

Hi, I’m Alex.

Director of All Things

Romanian by birth, Italian by obsession, Melbourne by choice. Twelve years inside some of the best hotels and venues in London and Melbourne.

My passion for events started when I was a little girl, watching my mother host the most beautiful dinner parties and helping friends plan their special occasions.

When we speak you will hear my accent – one I am incredibly proud of. I grew up in Romania, lived in the UK for four years, and moved to Melbourne in 2015. I am thrilled to now be a citizen of the country I call home.

Travel and different cultures are the tools I design with. Italy most of all: the food, the aperitivo hour, the way a meal is treated like theatre. That sensibility is in everything I create – elegant, and never stuffy.

I have spent more than twelve years inside hotels and venues in London and Melbourne. It means I know how an event looks from every side of it – the client, the venue, the kitchen, and the supplier who is running twenty minutes late.

I hold a Diploma in Wedding Planning, Styling and Design from the International Academy of Wedding and Event Planning. But the thing that matters most is simpler: the things your guests notice are the things I already thought of. Three weeks ago.

Hand-tinted wedding portrait of Alex's grandparents

My grandparents.
My inspiration.

This photograph hangs above my grandmother’s bed. I used to look at it every night before I went to sleep, and I adore it still.

Where I learned the trade

Hotels, venues, and every stage in between.

Years on the inside, plus a long stretch freelancing for large styling and event management companies. Together they gave me the whole chain – from the first enquiry to the last box packed into the van.

Big city lover, beach-goer, stationery buyer, perfume-ad consumer – there’s something about the music, the colours and the way they make me feel.
